Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of Brown University’s School of Public Health, tells TODAY that “the good news is that a majority of Americans did heed the warnings” about Thanksgiving gatherings. “But obviously a number of people did travel,” he adds, and warns that coronavirus cases may surge even more in the days ahead: “There’s been a huge acceleration of this disease over the past month.”
