Confessions of a binge eater: He sometimes had 10,000 calories in one meal

Megyn Kelly TODAY welcomes Ryan Sheldon, who opens up about his binge eating disorder, which drove him to consume as much as 10,000 calories in one meal and spend almost $700 a week on fast food. “It’s an illness … a way of soothing yourself for sure,” he tells Megyn. Claire Mysko, an expert on eating disorders, says that binge eating disorder is more common than anorexia and bulimia, and related to feelings of shame.
