Colorado governor drinks from Animas River, advises against it

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper drank from the Animas River to show that it is safe for rafting even after an estimated 3 million gallons of mining wastewater was released into it, but cautioned that residents should not freely drink from the river. Estimates say that the spill will cost millions to Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
