Actor Colin Hanks is the son of Tom Hanks, but he’s made his own name in shows including “Life in Pieces,” now in its second season. He tells TODAY he was attracted to the sitcom by its unique structure: “Here’s a show that actually has every generation represented,” he says. He also comments on his dad’s “SNL” turn as David S.
