Cohen’s lawyer: There's no disputing Trump ‘directed’ Cohen to commit crime
Lanny Davis, attorney for former Trump lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen, joins TODAY on Wednesday after Cohen plead guilty in a Manhattan court to eight felony charges of fraud and campaign finance violations. Cohen implicated Trump in a serious crime, saying he coordinated with the then-presidential candidate to illegally pay off two women to keep them quiet about alleged affairs with Trump. “There’s no dispute on the word ‘direction,’” Davis said, adding that if Trump wanted to pardon Cohen, his client would not accept.
