Chuck Todd on Ohio’s special election: Trump did more to turn out voters against Republican
Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd joins TODAY to comment on the impact President Trump had on Ohio’s special election between Republican Troy Balderson and Democrat Danny O’Connor. “If you look at the turnout in this district, the more affluent areas ... those voters turned out at a higher rate than the more rural areas in Trump country,” he said. “You brought the president in for the sole reason to stir up his base and the anti-Trump vote turned out at a higher rate than the pro-Trump vote. … If that is a harbinger for November, watch out.”
