Chess team ‘opens doors’ for Brooklyn students
A new documentary, “Brooklyn Castle,” shows how chess is giving the students at IS 318 middle school, where nearly 70 percent of the student body is below the poverty line, intellectual confidence and the chance to leave New York City to travel the world. TODAY’s Natalie Morales reports.
