A Southern California highway was shut down for hours when a police chase turned into a standoff. Deputies say a man wanted for attempted murder led officers on a slow-speed chase, sideswiping cars as he tried to get away. Officers flattened his tires with spike strips but he kept driving. The car eventually stopped and that’s when the standoff began, shutting down the freeway for two hours. Officers eventually took the man into custody.May 6, 2016
