Cardinal Dolan: Pope Francis’ address to Congress will not be political


Speaking to TODAY’s Matt Lauer by St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, Cardinal Timothy Dolan called Pope Francis “the shepherd of shepherds.” He predicts that while there will be “political implications” to the pontiff’s address to a joint session of Congress, the speech itself will not be political. He said the excitement of people awaiting the pope’s arrival in New York is “contagious.”
