Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly is the co-author of a new book called “Killing Reagan” about the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan in 1981. He tells TODAY’s Matt Lauer that Reagan came within a hairsbreadth of being removed from office after being shot because his aides were uncertain he could perform his duties. He also says that attempted assassin John Hinckley Jr. should never be released.
