Army Corps of Engineers commander talks about setting up ‘pop-up’ hospitals


Lieut. Gen. Todd Semonite, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has been tasked with finding alternative areas across the country that can be used as “pop-up” hospitals during the coronavirus outbreak. He tells TODAY he has a list of 750 potential facilities from governors and mayors and is in a race against time to get them set up before their needed. “We don’t have all the time in the world,” he stresses.
