Antonio Banderas: There were ‘tough conditions’ making film ‘The 33’

The new film “The 33” dramatizes the 2010 mining disaster in Chile that trapped 33 miners for more than two months. Star Antonio Banderas tells TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie about meeting Mario Sepulveda, the leader of the trapped miners, calling him “a survivor.” He also says the film was made under “tough conditions,” which was “very good for the movie, very bad for us.”
