Amanda Peet writes the story of a Jewish girl who loves Santa

04:02

Actress Amanda Peet has become a children’s author as well. In “Dear Santa, Love, Rachel Rosenstein,” she tells the story of a young Jewish girl who wishes that her family would celebrate Christmas and winds up learning more about other cultures. “It’s a story I really wanted to write,” Peet tells TODAY’s Matt Lauer, and she adds that part of the proceeds from the book go to Seeds of Peace, a nonprofit camp in Maine that brings Israeli and Palestinian kids together.
