A new bill proposes fines for after-hours work emails
New York City councilman Rafael Espinal Jr. is proposing a bill called the “Right to Disconnect” that would make it illegal for employers to require their employees to respond to emails after work hours. Through this bill, employers who remain in contact after hours could face a fine.
