5 killed in shooting at Capital Gazette newspaper in Maryland

Five people are dead and two are injured as a result of a mass shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper on Thursday, authorities in Annapolis, Maryland, said. The victims, three women and two men, were Gazette employees. Police told NBC News the suspected gunman, 38-year-old Jarrod Ramos of Maryland, had planned the massacre. NBC’s Craig Melvin reports for TODAY from Annapolis.
