‘We have a long ways to go’ before reopening safely following coronavirus shutdowns, analyst says

NBC News public health analyst Dr. Irwin Redlener, director of the National Center for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia University and a member of former Vice President Joe Biden’s coronavirus advisory committee, joins Weekend TODAY and says he doesn’t think the United States is ready to reopen. “We still have a ways to go before we have enough testing capability to make sure that everyone is safe in the workplace,” he says.
