Also called an annular eclipse, the Ring of Fire, a solar eclipse that happens when the moon is at its farthest point from Earth, appeared across much of Northern Hemisphere Thursday morning. It made the moon appear to take a bite out of the sun. TODAY’s Al Roker explains as he shares images of the phenomenon.
