‘People need to hold on’ until coronavirus vaccine comes, doctor says

Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of Brown University’s School of Public Health, tells TODAY that as coronavirus cases surge across the country, “we are about three to six months away from widespread availability of a vaccine. People need to hold on.” He says that the latest research shows that masks help protect their wearers as well as others, and recommends only small holiday gatherings: “This can’t be a normal Thanksgiving.”
