‘La La Land’ could tie the record for most Oscar nominations

06:21

Nominations for the 89th Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning, and the musical “La La Land” may tie the all-time record for most nominations ever, Dave Karger of IMDb tells TODAY. Ryan Gosling, Casey Affleck and Denzel Washington are all up for Best Actor, while Emma Stone, Natalie Portman and Meryl Streep are among the Best Actress nominees. Karger also points out that many actors of color are among this year’s nominees.
