Lieutenant Colonel Arnaud Beltrame, the French officer who was seriously injured during a hostage situation in a supermarket, has died. French President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to Beltrame in a statement on Saturday, saying he “died in the service of the nation, to which he had already brought so much. … He has fallen as a hero.” NBC’s Kelly Cobiella reports for TODAY from London.
