‘Godfather of sudoku’ Maki Kaji dies at 69

Maki Kaji, known as the godfather of the nine-by-nine number puzzle Sudoku, has died at age 69 in Tokyo. Today, an estimated 200 million people in 100 countries continue to solve the puzzles. Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist remembers a life well lived.
