$417 million award against Johnson and Johnson overturned by judge
A Los Angeles judge has tossed out a $417 award against Johnson & Johnson, granting the company’s request for a new trial. The verdict was originally won two months ago by a woman claiming she developed ovarian cancer after using the company’s talc-based powder since the 1950s.
