Calling all wedding crashers! Or should we say wedding splashers?
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and fiancée Nicole Johnson have more than dipped a toe into wedding planning — they've dived in and are headed for the finish line.
"We have a date," Johnson told Access Hollywood in an interview. "It'll be small and intimate for the wedding, and then we're throwing a massive bash for everyone in the states."
"I've been planning as we've been leading up to this, so I think I have the wedding in order and now it's on to the party for the fun," she continued.
Sounds there's a destination wedding in the works! We're only a little mad that Phelps didn't find a way to spontaneously marry Johnson on live Olympic telecast.
Fortunately, the couple and their sweet three-month-old, Boomer, got plenty of airtime at this year's Games in Rio. And if we need more #couplegoals inspiration, we can always revisit their journey on Instagram ...
The two met in Los Angeles in 2007 and dated on and off for years before going permanently on again in 2014. They got engaged in February 2015, and welcomed baby Boomer this past May.
Having missed Phelps' Olympic performance in 2012, Johnson has been visibly moved to see him in action again. (Just watch her reactions when he swims!) "To watch Michael's journey from 2008 to now has just been absolutely incredible," Johnson told Access Hollywood.
This has been a big year for the couple, between Phelps' record-breaking games and the birth of the couple's first child.
Phelps has really taken to fatherhood, if his photogenic snuggle sessions are any indication ...
And when asked if the two hoped to add to their family, Johnson didn't hesitate. "Who knows when, but yes!" she told Access Hollywood.
Congrats on it all, you two!
