Sigh. Women who enjoy playing hardcore video games face an uphill battle. Whether they're dealing with all manner of harassment when they game online or are simply trying to convince the video game industry and gaming masses that they exist in the first place ... serious women gamers often have to work extra hard to be taken seriously.
And now, two porn stars and self-proclaimed hardcore gamers are planning to set that effort back a decade or two.
Porn stars Alana "Superpinkninja" Evans and Misti "MeowMistiDawn" Dawn have told porn industry news site Xbiz that they plan to launch an interactive gaming website called Pwned By Girls — a site in which they will allow subscribers to play games with them online via Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network ... or simply watch as they "get down and dirty" while they game.
The girly gaming is scheduled to begin Tuesday ... to celebrate the release of "Gears of War 3."
"I am a huge Gears of War fan. It's my favorite game to play on Xbox Live, so when I came up with this idea and presented it to Misti, I knew the release date of Gears would be the perfect start date," Evans told Xbiz.
And Dawn added: "Are you a gamer? Are you sick of pretend gamer girls? Yeah us too. Time to pwn some n00000bs with our b00bs."
A couple of questions spring to mind. For starters, who are these "pretend gamer girls" that Alana and Misti are so sick of? The ones who prefer to game with their clothes on? The ones who like to game with their male counterparts for, oh, free? (Way to take down your fellow female gamers, ladies.)
Also, how does one "get down and dirty" and successfully pwn at the same time? On the other hand, will these paying subscribers really stand a chance gaming against naked women? OK, so perhaps the latter is not exactly the point.
More importantly, how much is this going to cost? Alana and Misti have yet to offer any such details. But apparently they will be using porn video services Streamate and Camworld to facilitate said nude pwnage.
Meanwhile, they promise that other porn stars will help them host parties in their "nerd lair."
So, to sum up their sales pitch: All of you nerdy boy gamers who can't get a real girlfriend are invited to pay money to play online games with naked girl gamers — the only kind of girl gamer that really exists.
Gosh, thanks PwnedByGirls! In one fell swoop, you've managed to fuel the insulting stereotypes that afflict both the male and female gaming population. I guess you really have pwned us all.
