Watson, it seems, is notable for reviving the pixie cut. "The popularity of the pixie cut is more of a change for women — for whom short hair hasn't been trendy since the '90s — than for men, who may justifiably feel sheepish about asking for the cut," writes the WSJ.

The "Harry Potter" actress told TODAY in November that she chopped off her long locks because they were too heavily associated with her famous, magical role — that she wanted a "new, fresh start" after filming the last movie of the series.

"It's been pretty crazy," Watson told Kathie Lee and Hoda of the fan frenzy over her short haircut. "I wasn't really anticipating so much drama about it. But it's great. I'm loving it."

As for the Biebs? The teen pop sensation's famous side-swept hair is so popular that just a few clippings can command more than $40,000 on eBay.

Now that's influence.
