Actress Lake Bell joined Kathie Lee and Hoda on Monday to chat about her new film "In A World," and while the movie focuses on behind-the-scenes voice-overs, Bell was front and center, in a TODAY-orange dress from Lyn Devon with Brian Atwood shoes.
Bell wrote, directed and stars in the upcoming film, and said her expanding career has actually been a big influence on her style.
"When I'm directing and running around, I try to stay as chic as possible but comfort is paramount, mainly because I have a bad lower back," Bell joked to TODAY.com. "Part of growing up is understand that to put yourself together well is one thing, but also to be comfortable and feel like your true self versus putting on so many trends that you get lost in the fold. Sometimes I just got to rock a sneaker with a good insole."
Bell's connection to her dress is personal: "(Designer Lyn Devon) is one of my dearest, oldest friends, and luckily she happens to be one of the most talented people I know.
"Sort of American, clean, classic, chic. I try to do that more and more as I grow older and take on different parts of my career."
