Mahone, 17, said he got his red sneakers on a recent trip to Japan, but that his favorite element of his outfit was actually the necklace, which was a gift.

"I'm working with Lil Wayne on his brand Trukfit," Mahone told TODAY.com. "So he actually gave me this (necklace) for my birthday."
