It was a humid one on the TODAY plaza on Thursday — all the more reason to give two lucky women the makeovers of a lifetime!
Lisa Rose, 56, from Toronto, Canada, is a special needs assistant at a school and loves being outdoors.
She was accompanied by her boyfriend of nine years, Jamie (affectionately nicknamed "Stylish Jamie" by TODAY contributor Jill Martin).
Rose's daily makeup routine consists of sunscreen— which should be a daily routine for everybody— and a little bit of concealer. She had not had her hair cut in years, so she was "excited to see what it'll look like," she told Martin.
After seeing her new look, Rose's boyfriend blurted out, "Oh my god! You're like a movie star!"
As part of Rose's new look, Martin gave her a beautiful black lace dress by Maggie London. World-class hair colorist Louis Licari brightened Rose's hair to give it a beautiful glow.
Next up: Mindy Grimmett, a 45-year-old from Sacramento, California, who was in New York for the first time ever!
Grimmett had been exploring all of the tourist attractions with her 11-year-old son, Gus, and was excited for him to see her transformation. The two love to play water sports together when they're not conquering the Big Apple!
"Wow, you look beautiful," said Hoda after seeing Grimmett's stunning transformation. Grimmett could hardly believe her reflection! "Oh my gosh, I love it," she said.
Her son was also left speechless!
Licari added color to her hair to brighten her complexion and give her a nice summer look. Martin chose a periwinkle dress from Maggie London.
