The real question is, when is Tom Hanks not making us smile? The 59-year-old actor can't disappoint — even when he's gone and done a crazy thing like, you know, dyed his hair white. (And lest you've already forgotten, he kindly rescued a lost Fordham University ID this past week, too.)

The man's a saint.

Well, okay, maybe it wasn't such a crazy thing. Hanks is simply suiting up for his role in a new movie directed by Clint Eastwood. He's playing Captain "Sully" Sullenberger, and we're happy to have gotten a glance at the character's visage.

The movie stars Hanks as well as Laura Linney, Aaron Eckhart and Jerry Ferrara.
