Patterned or printed pantsuit
When it comes to a patterned or printed pantsuit, opt for a slim-legged trouser and a cropped jacket for a look that won't overwhelm your body. These cuts will create a cleaner and more slimming look.
This window pane look could easily go with other items in your closet, like jeans or plain black pants. Try the printed pants with a cashmere sweater or a white button-down for a fabulous look.
Jacket - $128 from Express
Pants - $79.90 from Express

Forget the rule that says you can't wear white after Labor Day! Instead of a blazer, try a chunky knit sweater. White or cream pants look more appropriate for the fall and winter in a wide-leg style. They also give a more elegant and expensive look.
Wide-leg pants like these should be hemmed to skim the top of your shoe. They also help petite women look longer and leaner.
Sweater - $29.99 from T.J. Maxx
Pants - $98.00 from The Limited
Shoes - $79.95 from Chinese Laundry
If you want the look of a suit in a "one-piece," the jumpsuit is a great (and easy) alternative. To complete the look, pair your jumpsuit with a wool "car-coat" in a bold print, draped over your shoulders. This will keep you from being chilly while still looking chic.
Jumpsuit - $67.99 from Macy's
Coat - $99.99 from Century 21
Shoes - $49.99 from Chinese Laundry
