Pool hair, don't care.

Summer might be your favorite season — but your hair probably isn't a fan. All that surf, sand and sun lead to all sorts of complications, like excessive frizz, dried-out locks or looks that just won't hold still in the humidity.

Celebrity hairstylist Michael Angelo has seen — and solved — it all. He stopped by TODAY to share some of his favorite problem-solving products for the season.

The rehydrating conditioner

Harsh sun rays, ocean waves and pool chemicals can be drying, so Angelo recommended bringing a huge bottle of inexpensive conditioner with you.

"Reapply every time you get out of the ocean, pool or shower for effortless air-dry and protection from the drying sunlight," he said. He particularly recommends this Tresemme conditioner. With a blend of coconut milk and aloe, it's extremely moisturizing and gentle on your hair, and the low price makes it affordable enough to use all summer long.

The color-saving hat

There's no SPF for hair, and sun can really affect the shade of colored or dyed hair.

"If you really want to protect your hair through the hot summer days and cut down on fading or brassing ... find a cute beach hat!" Angelo said. "Wearing a trendy summer hat is the ultimate protection against sunny UV rays."

The frizz-fighting spray

And matching gel

These L'Oreal products help give your hair long-lasting control, structure and definition. Strong enough to hold any style while reducing frizz, they're also fast-drying and affordable, and can be used to create a wide variety of looks.

The scalp-saving SPF

It may seem odd, but if your scalp is prone to sunburn, slather sunscreen on it. This dry-touch, sheer formula will protect your scalp, but it won't make your hair greasy in the process.

The skip-the-salon hair lightener

If you're trying to get lighter, highlighted hair without expensive salon treatments, try Sun-In! Just spray it into your hair, or apply to select parts, and let the heat of the sun do the rest.

Angelo also recommended using the leftover spray on body hair for a glittering effect.

The beach-to-party braid balm

Angelo recommended applying this product before braiding hair and heading to the beach or pool.

"It's an innovative foam prep with HIx Bond Multipliers that strengthen hair," he explained. "It's great if you're heading out to meet up with friends after soaking up the sun — just rinse off the sand and take your braids out for a quick, instantly ready night look."

The balm leaves your hair in gorgeous, frizz-free beach waves — and even smells like the beach with its gentle fragrance, an extra touch that Angelo loves.
