Over the years, I've used more night creams than I can count. It's not that I don't like to commit to products (I'm actually a serial repeat shopper when I find something I love), it's just that I haven't fallen in love with any one cream. It's probably because I have insanely sensitive skin that's both acne-prone (with a touch of rosacea) and dry, so finding the perfect cocktail to cure all my skin's ailments is a tall order.
Over the last year, though, I've done something unthinkable: I've committed to this night cream from Caudalie. It was my love for all things French that initially drew me to the Parisian brand, but the night cream's impressive results made me stick with it. It offers the perfect amount of moisture without weighing down my skin, and has resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant, so I can feel confident that my skin is getting the anti-aging TLC it needs. Whenever I use this gem, my skin glows and feels instantly quenched. It's soothing, and lasts me almost eight months, so it's certainly worth the $76 price tag.
Eye Duty Triple Remedy: Brighten, Depuff and Smooth, $36, Sephora
I'm pretty lazy with my beauty routine, so I love it when I can find a true multitasking product, like this concealer/eye treatment that's been my favorite for the past three years. The multitasker covers up dark spots without looking or feeling cakey and blends in seamlessly under my eyes, leaving them dewy and fresh.
The Eye Duty Triple Remedy also serves as an eye treatment, and de-puffs the under-eye area. Over time, I've started skipping my morning eye cream and just apply a few drops of the light, creamy formula instead. It fights lines and wrinkles well (thanks to the help of Retinyl palmitate and GABA), and the safe ingredients — Eye Duty Triple Remedy is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates or Phtalates — don't hurt, either. It looks like others love this triple threat just as much as I do: It's got over 30,000 loves on Sephora's site!
Tarte Clay Pot Waterproof Liner, $21, Sephora
I've always been a sucker for a bright eyeliner, so when I saw that Tarte was selling a limited edition mint green eyeliner last summer, I naturally had to have it. I'm not a fan of liquid liner — too difficult to apply! — so I was excited to see the eyeliner came in a gel.
Since then, the eyeliner has become one of my faves, and I've received countless compliments on the bold color. Aside from the pretty mint hue, I love how easily the eyeliner glides on. You only need a touch of product to make a big impact, so it lasts for months on end. Even better, the formula also doubles as an eye shadow. Over the last year, the brand has come out with other limited edition colors, all in the same gel formula, and I can't wait to try all of them!
bareMinerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara, $19, Sephora
I love mascara as much as the next woman, but finding the right formula isn't always an easy process. Many mascaras make big claims — larger-than-life lashes, flake-free formula — but few actually live up to their claims, so it's easy to get jaded. Luckily, my faith was restored thanks to this mascara from bareMinerals. The 10-in-one formula claims to volumize, lengthen, thicken, separate, lift and curl lashes, and its claims are pretty spot on.
This mascara gives great lift and definition, is generally flake-free (unless I apply it too fast, obviously) and lasts all day long. The best part of all? You don't get those nasty clumps you'll find after several uses of other mascaras. The tube is thick and easy to grasp, and the wand itself is pretty impressive — it's spiraled 180° to curve around lashes and coat every hair.
Kerastase Mousse Bouffante Volumizing Hair Mousse, $28, Sephora
I have hair that errs between super curly and semi wavy depending on its mood, and it's often hard to find products that can deal with that type of unpredictability. Over time, I've realized that mousse (and light creams) work best for my hair, and have been a fan of this one from Kerastase for years.
The volumizing formula adds fullness to my hair, defines my waves and doesn't leave hair feeling crunchy — which is the best part of all, honestly. It also offers UV protection! I typically like to add a small amount to hair and let it air dry over night, so I wake up with soft, shiny waves. Did I mention it smells amazing, too?
