The royals arrived — and left — in style! As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their way from New York City to D.C., we kept an eye on Kate's fabulous attire throughout the trip. The royal couple returned to London late Tuesday night, but left us with splendid memories — or at the very least, these fabulous photos of one of our favorite fashion icons.
The duchess wrapped up her whirlwind tour of the Big Apple in glamorous style, at a black-tie fundraiser for the University of St. Andrews, the place where she and William met and fell in love.

Two style icons meet! At the event celebrating British creative talent, Kate met Jenna Lyons, the often celebrated creative director of J. Crew. According to Vanity Fair, Lyons was ecstatic to hear that the Duchess wore J. Crew jeans to the NBA game at the Barclays Center the night before.
Earlier Tuesday, on a more somber note of their trip, Kate and Will visited the National September 11 Memorial Museum in lower Manhattan.
The duchess paid her respects in a vibrant pink, double-breasted coat from Mulberry on the rainy Tuesday morning.
The British royals met America's royal couple Jay Z and Beyonce (aka Queen Bey) at an NBA basketball game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
