What kind of history lesson can you get in one minute? How about one that pulls you through time as told by women's changing hair and makeup styles?
That's what the folks at Cut.com did in this fascinating viral video, which shows a model having her hair and makeup done in the style of the last ten decades: 1910 to 2010. It goes by pretty fast, so multiple viewings are recommended (it's already racked up over 3 million views since it went up in late November).
"A hundred years ago, hair was coiffed, set and very deliberate," beauty expert Ted Gibson told TODAY.com after watching the video. "Women didn't get haircuts — it was all about the style. What's great about the time we live in now is that it's about the individual. We aren't going to Prada and buying it from head to toe. We are mixing it up, creating our own individual situations."
