It was a beautiful August day on the plaza, and it was a full house of TODAY fans.
Our Ambush Makeover team of celebrity hairstylist Louis Licari and TODAY Style Squad member Jill Martin had a very tough choice.
But they found two wonderful ladies who were ready to let our glam squad work their magic.
First up was Sarah Wilson, 26. She was in New York City for a trip with her boyfriend, Trent. Wilson, who watches TODAY every morning, wasn't expecting to get picked by our Ambush Makeover team, but she was excited for the opportunity.
This Florida native had never colored her hair and hadn't touched a straightener in over two years, but that was all about to change.
"What? Oh, my God! Wow! You look gorgeous," exclaimed Trent as soon as he saw Wilson's new look.
"Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! I don't even feel like the same person," said Wilson as she saw herself in the mirror for the first time after her makeover.
Wilson had told Licari that if she was going to color her hair she'd want to be a redhead, so he made her wish come true. Igor Musayev straightened her curly locks and gave her a beautiful trim that framed her face.
To complete this foxy look, Martin put her in a gorgeous jumpsuit with statement earrings.

Next, our Ambush Makeover team had the pleasure of working with Robin Perry, 55, from Massachusetts. Perry is a dog walker who is visiting New York City with her daughters. Her daughter Lexi is very fashion-forward and wants her mom to change up her look, so today was especially exciting!
"Oh, my God! Holy crap!" said one daughter.
"Do you recognize me?" Perry asked.
Her daughters were quick to respond, "No!"
"I can't even believe it's me! Holy mackerel!" exclaimed Perry upon her big reveal.
Licari lightened up Perry's hair color and added a few natural-looking highlights. For the haircut, Musayev kept things modern and fresh. Edin O'Sullivan completed the look with some glam makeup.
For the outfit, Martin put her in a flowy dress and a fabulous faux-leather jacket.
