Get Stuff We Love
The red carpet at the Oscars is rolled up, but we're still ogling over our favorite fashion moments.
While the stars nailed their award show looks, we thought it might be fun to try a tweak here or there. TODAY style editor Bobbie Thomas is offering some ideas to make these celebrities look even more fabulous!
What if Julianne Moore and Lady Gaga switched looks?
Julianne Moore wore Chanel and Lady Gaga wore Brandon Maxwell.
Both stars went fashion-forward with their look, but stuck with their signature designers: Moore is known for chic A-listers, while Gaga is unafraid of dramatic new looks from her frequent collaborator Brandon Maxwell. We thought it would be cool to see Moore in the draped jumpsuit and Gaga's blond hair juxtaposed with the striking black cutouts.
What if Jennifer Garner and Brie Larson swapped gowns?
Jennifer Garner in Atelier Versace and Brie Larson in Gucci.
Both actresses looked beautiful, but I thought it would be fun to see Garner in something bright and bold and Larson in something strong, sophisticated and timeless for her first Oscar nomination and win.
What if Jennifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchett traded dresses?
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior and Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive.
Both Lawrence and Blanchett are red carpet favorites. It would be exciting to borrow Blanchett's fresh seafoam color for Lawrence, who typical wears black, white, red and other classic colors.
What if Kate Winslet wore a different Ralph Lauren design?
Kate Winslet in Ralph Lauren.
The asymmetrical shoulder line and diagonal seam elongate her frame better than the horizontal strapless look. And the softer gold color looks more fluid in this fabric, better matching Winslet's overall elegance.
What is Sofia Vergara's dress had less embellishments?
Sophia Vergara in Marchesa.
I would remove some of the embellishments on the bodice of Vergara's dress, but I'm not sure which style I liked better. Do you like the added detail for the special occasion? What do you think?
What do you think of the red and copper eye shadow trend?
Celebrities like Olivia Wilde, Lady Gaga and Emily Blunt were wearing copper rust tones in their makeup. Do you say yay or nay?
