If you’re willing to drop $130 on a gym shirt, Moschino has just the line of tops for you!
But you may feel bad about your body if you get a glimpse of yourself in the mirror while wearing one. Or, you may accidentally hurt the feelings of the person on the treadmill next to you.
The luxury fashion brand recently unveiled three shirts emblazoned with quotes and pics that channel some serious fat-shaming vibes.
The label definitely doesn’t hold back: one blares in giant print that the wearer is “100% Fat Free.”
Another features a mathematic pictorial showing a 195 calorie ice cream cone “equaling” 30 min of jump-roping. The third equates a cheeseburger with 45 minutes of running.
Though meant to be tongue-in-cheek, the gym tops clearly got some bad blood pumping.
Cosmopolitan published a take-down of the new tees on Tuesday with the biting subhead, “Self-loathing is the new black.”
“If only there were a T-shirt that expressed just how much you love to hate yourself,” quipped Cosmo style editor Charles Manning.
Others on social media also weighed in on the controversial new line of gym wear, including the online parody greeting card company, Some eCards.
Seems these shirts are just plain wrong, and not just because they’re fat-shaming, but because one states that a triple-scoop ice cream cone is only 195 calories. What?!
