Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, lets her hair down at charity event with Prince Harry

We know the duchess loves a good bun, but these loose curls are bringing the glamour.

Nearly four months into her reign as the Duchess of Sussex, the former Meghan Markle is letting her hair down — literally.

The actress-turned-royal, who's favored chic updos in recent outings, wore her hair down in glamorous curls to a charity event with husband Prince Harry on Thursday.

The duchess wore a blue — royal blue, naturally — dress to the London gala concert, called 100 Days to Peace, which commemorates the centenary of the end of World War I and supports mental health charities, according to a website for the event.

Along with Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, mental health has long been one of Harry's platforms. The royal trio appeared in a PSA aiming to reduce the stigma around mental health issues in 2016, and last year, Harry even opened up about his own struggles with panic attacks after Princess Diana's death.

The event raises money for three charities that support military veterans with mental health challenges: Help for Heroes, Combat Stress and Heads Together.

At the concert, Harry wore a navy suit, letting his new wife shine in the style spotlight. The duchess paired her Jason Wu sheath dress with a matching pair of slingback high heels. But it was her glamorous, pinup-style hair that caught our eye, as the duchess has been leaning toward low buns and chignons recently. (Now we just need her secret to such shiny hair!)

It's no surprise that the duchess has top-notch style — after all, she is People's Best Dressed Star of 2018 — but we're thrilled to see the newest royal is letting loose, at least a little.
