For half a century, Oscar de la Renta was the designer of choice for A-listers, from celebrities to first ladies. He designed ball gowns, red carpet stunners, wedding dresses and even Boy Scout uniforms.
In the wake of his death Monday at 82, those who wore his creations are mourning his loss and expressing their heartfelt admiration.
"I just adored him, and will think of him often," TODAY's Jenna Bush Hager said Tuesday.
De la Renta designed the wedding dress Jenna wore for her 2008 nuptials to Henry Hager. She tweeted a picture of the sketch with her tribute:

"This is the man who has been at the center of the American fashion world, in fact the global fashion world for five decades now," Glamour magazine editor Cindi Leive told TODAY Tuesday. "That does not come easily."
Celebrities like Taylor Swift took to social media to mourn the fashion industry's loss.
"My all-time favorite designer has passed away. Oscar, it was an honor to wear your creations and to know you. In loving memory," Swift tweeted.
"Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen tweeted a picture of Sarah Jessica Parker in one of the designer's creations:
