Get Stuff We Love
It's the most wonderful time of year!
December is in full swing and with it, all of the excitement of the holiday season. But with all the shopping, wrapping and cooking, there's always one thing causes a little stress: What will you wear to all of those holiday parties?
Brittney Levine, host of Marie Claire's "The Fix," stopped by TODAY to share holiday party outfit ideas for every type of occasion, whether it's the annual office event or a casual family get-together,
Office holiday party
The key to finding an outfit for the office holiday party is to spice up your everyday look without pushing the envelope too much, Levine explained.
Go for your favorite blue-suit-and-white-shirt combo, but give it a twist with a fun, statement tie. The best part is, you can create the perfect outfit using items you already have!
Blazer: Check pattern blazer, $79, JackThreads
Shirt: Stretch dress shirt, $39, JackThreads
Tie: Purple print cotton-silk tie, $28, Indochino
Pants: Check pattern suit pant, $49, JackThreads
Shoes: Mel Chukka, $62, JackThreads
You can still get into the holiday spirit without wearing head-to-toe red and green. Levine suggests going for a trendy patterned dress, like a plaid pattern. To complete the look, add nude or black heels and eye-catching earrings. You'll look fashion-forward, yet ready to celebrate!
Dress: Ellen tracy print jersey sheath dress, $71, Nordstrom
Earrings: Pave sputnik ear jackets, $34, Baublebar

Neighborhood holiday party
This type of get-together with friends is where you can really have some fun with your look.
Levine suggested going all out with color with a festive party shirt. Pair it with your favorite black pants and sleek back shoes to let it be the star of the show.
Shirt: Purple and black gingham dress shirt, $59, Nick Graham
It's all about making a sparkly statement! Levine said she is a fan of anything with gold, velvet or a jacquard print. Pair your party dress with a simple black clutch, tights and heels and you'll be ready to roll!
Dress: Velvet bow gold shift dress, $57, Miss Selfridge
Clutch: Lillian flap crossbody, $35, Olivia + Joy
The younger crowd will love anything with tinsel! Pick a party dress in a bright color, like red, that has some sparkle. A star-shaped sparkly clutch paired with a statement bracelet will let your teen really shine.

Purse: Star purse, $10, Totes Adorable
Bracelet; Kids bracelet, $15, Zomi
Family holiday party
This time of year can sometimes be so crazy, that getting together as a family has to happen after all of the gift-giving chaos. We've been there!
With these type of family gatherings, Levine's rule of thumb is dressing for comfort.
Guys will love that they can wear a relaxed sweater or zip-up. Add a checkered shirt in the same color scheme for a nice holiday twist.

Shirt: Stafford travel wrinkle-free oxford dress shirt, $30, JCPenney
Pants: Arizona flex slim straight bull-denim jeans, $20, JCPenney
Boots: Alexander plain toe, $69, JackThreads
Ponchos are one of the hottest trends this year. They're comfortable and fashionable, making for the perfect post-holiday look. Go for a plaid pattern to make it feel like a more chic blanket. Pair it with leggings or slim jeans and you'll be ready to rock!

Top: Whenever wear-ever ivory bodysuit, $28, Lulus
Jeans: Dittos selena dark wash skinny jeans, $59, Lulus
Boots: Right Here, Right Now taupe suede lace-up over the knee boots, $39, Lulus
Here's a look that the kids will love. While a checkered-button down and vest make the outfit seem holiday ready on the top, the jeans and sneakers say, "I'm ready to play!" on the bottom. It's the ultimate combo!
Shirt and vest: Shirt and sweater vest, $25, H&M
Pants: Slim jeans, $18, H&M
Sneakers: Sneakers with printed design, $15, H&M
