For decades, “Don’t Hassel the Hoff” has meant showing love for “Baywatch” actor David Hasselhoff, but these days, his younger daughter Hayley is bringing her own attitude to a plus-size clothing line.

On Wednesday, the 21-year-old model-actress announced on Twitter that she’s the face of the summer line for British-based Yours Clothing. The company gears its fashions to women whose clothing sizes are 14 to 31 in the U.K. (12 to 29 in the U.S.).

The model, who says she’s a size 12-14, told TODAY.com she hopes to be a force for positivity when it comes to the “plus-size” designation.

“Because I’ve been a ‘plus-size’ model since I was 14, I only look at the word with love and light, and there’s nothing else anyone can say about it,” she said.

Perhaps best known for playing Amber on the ABC Family series “Huge,” Hasselhoff said she’d already been working as a model for Yours Clothing and “fell in love with their brand” before the company pitched this seasonal collaboration.

“It’s just such an adorable brand,” she added. “Everybody there is so loving, so amazing. ... It feels like the right fit and the right timing.”

Among the summer fashions Hasselhoff models on the website are a blue sleeveless maxi dress with white tie-dye stripes; a blue tribal-print sleeveless shirt; a light-blue floral dress accented with chiffon; and a gray and pink animal-print swimsuit with “tummy control.” Each of those pieces falls within the $41 to $63 price range.

Hasselhoff is particularly smitten with the line’s kimono collection, whose pieces run from $34 to $57.50. On the website, she sports a $45 black and orange kimono-style light-weight jacket with a black T-shirt and jean-shorts.

“I fell in love with that,” she said. “I think it’s very versatile.”

And because words only go so far when it comes to championing the cause of plus-size fashion, she’s been walking the walk, too. One of her walks just happened to involve a runway at the British Plus-Size Fashion Weekend in February, when she strolled the catwalk to showcase fashions for 13 participating designers.

“That was my first time walking on a catwalk,” she said, admitting she was nervous. “I think that with anything that I do, and any aspect of my career, if I’m not nervous, it doesn’t mean anything to me.”

Hasselhoff credited her family — especially her father, David, and mother, actress Pamela Bach — for their support throughout her career.

“The biggest thing that I get out of all of this is seeing how proud my mom and my dad are of me,” she said. “I’m so proud of both of my parents for raising me the way that they did.”
