Things got a little hairy for Prince Harry on Tuesday as he made his first official royal appearance since returning from a three-month trip to Africa.
All eyes immediately zoomed in on the rugged, ginger beard Harry sported while visiting with World War II veterans at an event to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Harry, who also celebrated his 31st birthday Tuesday, grew out the beard while working on various conservation projects in southern Africa.
The last time Harry sported a beard was in December 2013, when he trekked across Antarctica with a team of adventurers raising awareness for wounded veterans.
However, amid rumors that Queen Elizabeth was not fond of facial hair on royal men, the prince soon shaved off the whiskers. Time will tell whether the monarch will have her say this time around.
