The holiday shopping season derailed last weekend for Gwyneth Paltrow.
Thieves robbed the actress and business woman's Goop pop-up store in New York City on Saturday, making off with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, the New York City Police Department told People.
The NYPD reports that three men opened a cabinet of merchandise while the Columbus Circle store was open and full of shoppers. Staff saw them and called 911, but the men fled before police could arrive.
Around $173,465 worth of items were taken. No arrests have been made yet, but the thieves could face charges of grand larceny.
A Goop spokesperson did not confirm the amounts but issued a statement that read: "There was an isolated incident Saturday afternoon involving a very limited number of items, which was reported to the NYPD. While the store was crowded during one of our busiest days, thankfully the NYPD responded quickly, our customers and staff are safe, and we remain open for business with proper security precautions in place."
The Goop Mrkt, named after Paltrow's lifestyle site, opened on Nov. 23 and is running through Dec. 24. Paltrow also has had pop-up stores in Dallas, Chicago and L.A. Items are not exactly for bargain-hunters, though: Leather jackets go for $10,500, white sneakers for $1,075 and leather bracelets are $275.
