Did Gigi Hadid just chop off her gorgeous, flowing locks for a Stuart Weitzman ad campaign? It certainly looks that way in the supermodel's recent Instagram post.

The ubiquitous model is all legs and very little hair in her latest shoot for the high-end shoe brand. But if you're a fan of Hadid's old look, don't worry — it's only a wig!

The model shared a behind-the-scenes shot of the campaign before its official release. She posed against a white backdrop in over-the-knee Stuart Weitzman boots, a trench coat and ... a pixie cut. Her normally luscious locks are tucked away in a Shay Ashual wig, according to a press release from the brand.

Famed photographer Mario Testino shot the images. He debuted the campaign's official poster on his own Instagram.

Hadid has been a powerful asset for Stuart Weitzman since 2015. For this campaign, however, Testino and the brand wanted to do something new. They gave the photos a chic and modern feel with a minimalist black-and-white color scheme.

Stuart Weitzman inaugurated the campaign with three consecutive Instagram posts of Hadid. The captions spell out: "Gigi. Is. Back."

Despite the model's faux hairstyle in this campaign, her look raises the question: Will the supermodel join in on the head-shaving trend?

Over the past year, Katy Perry, Cara Delevigne, Kristen Stewart and others have debuted cropped cuts, showing that style, like history, certainly repeats itself.

Hadid exudes a 1960s glamour with her new look, and reminds us of former actress and model Mia Farrow. The two beauties look uncannily similar.

Is the pixie cut storming back into fashion? We wouldn't be surprised.

As for Hadid, she can definitely rock the look. But will the model ditch the wig for a real haircut? Only time will tell.
