New York Fashion Week is in full swing, showing us the hot new looks we'll be coveting next winter. But with Spring almost upon us (hopefully!), it's finally time to try out the bold beauty looks we spotted on the catwalk in September. Jeannine Morris, founder of BeautySweetSpot.com, spoke to TODAY Tuesday to show us how to incorporate these exciting ideas from the runway into our real lives.

Classic braids

This season, classic braids are in! Think French, fishtail or even old-school, three strand styles like these romantically messy 'dos. The trick is keeping the braids perfectly imperfect.

Graphic eyeliner

A classic cat eye is a beauty staple, but you can easily modernize the look by exaggerating the line for a bold, graphic appearance.

Pops of pastel hair

Perhaps you're not ready to go for the full Nicole Richie effect. Not a problem! You can still add a splash of color by dip-dying your ends or using clip-in extension pieces for a fun, peek-a-boo effect. Sure it's not for everyday, but imagine rocking this look for a special night out with the girls.

Lavender eye shadow

Purple eye shadow might sound crazy, but this surprisingly neutral hue is the shade of the season. The best part is, the color works on any skin tone.

Negative space manicures

As fashion editors love to say, less is more. The same concept can apply to beauty when it comes to these "negative space manicures" that feature strips of your bare nail. To recreate, simply apply your base coat and let it dry. Use tape to line where you don't want color and polish the rest of your nail. Allow it to dry and paint a topcoat, then lift the tape to reveal your new nail art. We especially love this design from nail art blogger Pshiiit.
