That’s right, ladies, with the addition of just a few accessories, you can use your very own clothing to create a great character. Bobbie Thomas, Today Style editor and author of the Buzz for “In Touch Weekly,” finds inspiration from some uniquely stylish women.

From a pig to a pop star, here are her ideas …

Pull out your pretty pink party dress, and morph into the Muppet diva this year! Miss Piggy may be bossy, but she’s also adorable, and your costume will be, too. Start with any bubble-gum pink gown, and then glamorize. Long satin gloves, a pig nose and ears, pearls, gems, a boa, and blond wig (if needed) will perfectly capture the fictional frog-lover’s look. You can find most of these items at your local costume supply, thrift store or party center. But be sure not to forget the best accessory of all … KERMIE! $12.50,

The Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll knows how to sparkle! This would be your perfect excuse to splurge on a flashy little frock, or rescue one from the back of your closet. Vintage shops are also plentiful, with racks of old prom dresses resting in peace. Tease your hair or try a wig, and shimmy into one of this season’s trendy short sequin or paillette dresses. Last but not least, grab a microphone and prepare to party like a frock star!

The Hollywood legend is unforgettably elegant in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” And it’s all in the details when it comes to stealing this iconic style scene. Break out your best little black dress, whip up your hair, wrap some pearls around your pretty little neck and clip on a brooch, then slip on some elbow-length black gloves and dark shades. The only thing you'll need from a costume store is a tiara, if you don’t already own one! And the most important accent? Breakfast! A coffee cup, a white paper bag and a Danish will keep you going all night. Who knows, maybe you'll even window-shop on your way home.

Poor Betty never learned the lesson that when it comes to fashion, less is more! Play in your closet and pile on all your favorite pieces. Start with a ruffled button-down blouse, next slip on a jumper or smock dress, wear your favorite colored tights, and then maybe even a sweater vest? Add red glasses and a patchwork tote and voila! The key is to play with prints and clash your colors. Break all the “rules” and have fun with fashion in the most literal sense. For the full effect, you can even wear fake braces for the night and let your smile stand out in the crowd! Fools All Braces $10,

If you've got a group of girlfriends looking for a stylish ensemble costume, this glamorous game show should provide plenty of inspiration! Each week, the show’s models sport a different sexy dress. Whether it has one shoulder, a slit up the side or hugs your curves, just get your gals to agree on one color! As long as you each carry a numbered aluminum briefcase, you'll tempt trick-or-treaters into doing anything they can to win the million-dollar prize!
