A judge has found former Miss Honduras Belgica Suarez not guilty of money laundering despite having failed to declare $47,000 worth of cash at a border crossing.

Police said 25-year-old Suarez was arrested with euros and British pounds on a Honduran highway near the Nicaraguan border after she did not declare the money while crossing the border from Nicaragua in July.

But Judge Allan Rodriguez ruled Tuesday that there was not enough evidence to convict the 2009 beauty queen of a crime.
