What you'll need:

1. Curling iron with a 1.25" barrel

2. Clip-in or tape-in extensions

Pro tip: Potempa recommends Laced Hair Extensions as her brand of choice.

3. Hair elastic

4. Darby clip

5. Hair gems

  The Beachwaver Co.

What to do:

1. To create volume and texture start by curling the front piece of the hair and clip until cool. You can break into two pieces depending on the hair's thickness.

2. Add extensions to the back of the hair for extra length, so you can get a super-long braid.

3. Gather a small section of hair from the corners of your forehead to the crown and tie it in a ponytail and secure with an elastic band.

4. Clip the first ponytail up to get it out of the way and tie a second ponytail under the first.

5. Release the top ponytail and divide in half into two sections.

6. Bring the second ponytail up through the split and clip out of the way with a darby clip.

7. Tie a third ponytail under the second and incorporate the ends from the first ponytail.

8. Continue down the head.

9. To finish off, use your fingers to split the section to create an opening. Pull the ponytail through the opening so it now becomes the top ponytail.

10. Continue to the end and add gems for extra sparkle.

Pop star

It's time to make your childhood dreams of being a singing sensation come true this Halloween! From Ariana Grande and her signature ponytail to even Britney Spears, this hair tutorial will make you feel like a pop star in an instant. Plus, it's so easy!

Want to be Miley Cyrus for Halloween? Here's how you can do her VMAs hairstyle.

What you'll need:

1. Flat iron

2. Paddle brush

3. Hook elastic

4. Clip-in or tape-in hair extensions

5. Hair pin

  AP/The Beachwaver Co.

What to do:

1. Prep the hair with a flat iron to smooth down any frizz or any bend that the hair may have.

2. Part the hair off behind the ear on both sides to create a half-up, half-down style.

3. Use the brush to gather the hair and brush back.

4. Secure hair with hook elastic for a no-slip ponytail.

5. To create the illusion of super-thick hair, clip an extra row of extensions around the ponytail.

6. Wrap a piece of hair around the ponytail to hide the extensions and secure with a hair pin.

7. Optional: Add ears or a funky headband of your choice to complete the look.

Dragon queen

Calling all "Game of Thrones" fans! This dragon queen-inspired look will let you embrace your inner Daenerys Targaryen. Now all you're missing is Jon Snow.

What you'll need:

1. Curling iron with 0.75" barrel

2. Paddle brush

3. Hair elastics

4. Vintage clip

  The Beachwaver Co.

What to do:

1. Make a side part.

2. Grab a section at your hairline and split it into three equal parts.

3. Braid by taking the right strand and cross it over the middle strand. Then, take the left strand and cross it over the middle strand.

4. Continue and finish off the braid with a traditional three-strand braid.

5. Repeat on the other side of the part.

6. Create French braids underneath and secure with elastics.

7. Optional: Add extensions for a more exaggerated look.

8. Curl with the curling iron and brush through.

9. Add a vintage hair clip and secure all braids together.
