Grab a pen and paper, Disney fans — this is one wedding you're going to want to take notes from.

Jason Bitner and Garrett Smith of Chicago tied the knot in August in a magical, over-the-top Disney-themed ceremony, and the stunning photos by photographer Tiffany Brandt show nuptials that movie fanatics will swoon over.

Guests went all out with the theme, arriving dressed as Moana, Rapunzel, Mickey Mouse and an assortment of other colorful characters.

"I was so happy and so surprised with how much thought and detail people put into their costumes," Smith told TODAY. "It was touching because it’s not necessarily easy to think of a costume, especially one that could potentially work in the Chicago summer when it’s 95 degrees and humid. And people did that, which was really touching."

Bitner explained that guests weren't assigned specific characters, but the couple did advise partygoers with places to shop ahead of time.

"We built a Pinterest board with a bunch of ideas, with levels of different costumes, from easy to more elaborate," he said. "In our hometowns, we picked some Goodwills and other thrift stores that people could find costume parts for."

As for the grooms themselves, their ensembles were a highlight of the reception: They dressed as Woody and Buzz Lightyear from "Toy Story," one of their favorites.

"A lot of people would have thought you could dress up as a prince," Bitner told TODAY. "That's a little bit more cliché. Buzz and Woody were the only (characters) that seemed to make sense for us."

The pair also chose to embody the dynamic "Toy Story" duo because they worked seamlessly with grooms' first song, Randy Newman's "You've Got a Friend in Me," from the movie's soundtrack.

"I knew well before Jason and I got engaged that I really wanted that to be the song that I had as my first dance," Smith shared. The couple asked a friend to choreograph a dance to a rendition of the song that fused jazz and Spanish sounds.

Friends and family were seated among intricate tablescapes based on different animated movies, and the duo opted for a "Toy Story" wedding cake, of course, complete with Woody and Buzz silhouettes. To top it all off, the outdoor venue, 63rd Street Beach House in Chicago, with ivy-lined architecture and views of the shore, created the perfect scene for an enchanted evening.

In the end, Jason and Garrett chose a Disney-themed ceremony because Disney means so much to them. They were both fans growing up, but the obsession was born when they traveled to Disneyland together for the first time a few months after they started dating. Now, Smith and Bitner's home is even decked out in Disney.

"We wanted a beach wedding and we loved dressing up in costumes," Smith said, adding that they initially considered a Halloween-themed ceremony. "We (realized we) can do both of those things! It’s our wedding."

"When else am I going to force my entire family to wear a costume?" he laughed.

We hope their love story will last to infinity and beyond.
