Chloe Grace Moretz is wrapping up 2016 with a dramatic new haircut: bangs!
The 19-year-old star of "Kick-Ass" and "Neighbors 2" debuted her wispy new style on in an Instagram post on Monday alongside her friend, Zoey Deutch. In the pic, Moretz is rocking a shoulder-length cut with darker roots and long pieces in front that can be brushed to the side or styled as bangs.
The actress credited her new cut to Gregory Russell, a hairstylist with Andy LeCompte Salon, and her color to Lorri Goddard of Goddard + Bragg, both of West Hollywood.
Russell, whose other celeb clients include Miley Cyrus, Lily Collins and Nicole Ritchie, posted photos on his own Instagram account of her new ‘do. His pics suggest Moretz really is channeling the Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger with her new look, as she joked in a caption.
But this isn't the first time Moretz has rocked short hair.
In her younger years, she styled it in a sophisticated bob:
She also wore her hair loose and wavy for a fresh, age-appropriate look.
The star is no stranger to switching up her color, either, like when she dyed the ends of her hair pink.
She's even rocked a few funky braids and updos.
Still, her recent bangs are a stark departure from the signature long, blond locks that the actress has been wearing for a long time.
It has been a season of changes for Moretz, who seems to have split split from her boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham, 17, in August. The couple frequently posted pics of each other on social media, but had only confirmed their relationship over the summer.
Perhaps the actress is not immune the the time-honored breakup tradition for women everywhere: Getting a brand-new hairstyle!
